Controlled 35° C or 100° C ± 2° C Curing Temperature for concrete.

Controlled 27° C ± 2° C Curing Temperature for grey cement.                           This curing tank has been designed to accommodate 150mm / 70.6mm cube moulds and upto 36/72 cube mould can be cured in one go. The tank is fully insulated, comes complete with a hinged lid, heater, thermostat and re-circulated pump. Provision of two removable racks allows free circulation of water around each mould. The pump, drain valves and electrical equipment are housed in a compartment located at one end of the tank. The tank is heated by an immersion heater under normal conditions and refrigeration system for grey cement the temperature is controlled at 35° C or 100° C ± 2° C / 27° C +2° C,expect for the 15 minutes after immersion of the freshly made specimens. This special curing tanks have been designed for hot water curing or steam curing in accelerated strength concrete. The interior is made from stainless steel. The electronic programmer can control up to four test cycles with different thermal gradients and curing time to a defined temperature value for a complete automatic curing cycle. The control panel include a 28 column thermal printer.

Salient Features
Accessories : Mild steel base plate 5 inches x 5 inches. Fulcrum mould, brass, 70mm I.D base dia x 60mm I.D. top dia, 40mm height.

(1) A frame A frame made of cast iron having a movable rod made of brass with a cap made of brass at one end - needle and plunger can be attached to the other end. The needles and plunger will be capable of being fixed centrally into the movable rod by means of clamping screw . (2) Needles The needles for initial and final setting time will be of hardened and tempered steel. Their fitting ends will be of brass. There will be about 6 mm clearance between the bottom end of the needle, when it is raised, and the top edge of the ring mould, to enable the mould to be located in position without damaging the needle. Diameter of the needle would be (1 ± 0.05 mm) (3) Plunger Plunger will be fabricated from polished brass material having diameter of (10 ± 0.05 mm. It will be supplied with a projection of the fitting end for insertion into the movable rod . The lower end of the rod will be flat. Length of plunger would be ( 50 ± 1 mm)

(4) Movable Rod Movable rod will carry an indicator which moves over a graduated scale attached to the frame. A clearance of (0.25 mm) around the movable rod is kept to facilitate free movement. A suitable arrangement will be provided to secure the movable rod in rest position when the apparatus is not in use. Weight of the movable rod would be (300 gram ± 0.05 gram) (5) Graduated Scale Graduated scale will be of 40mm in length and the smallest division of the scale will be 1mm. (6) Vicat Mould The Vicat Mould will be in the form of frustum of a cone with an internal diameter of (60 ± 3 mm) at the top, (70 ± 0.5mm) at the bottom and height of (40 ± 1 mm). The mould will have minimum wall thickness of (4 mm). A non porous base plate of glass or metal of (3 mm) thickness will also be provided. Split type mould with clamping will also be supplied along with the main unit.
